Does the tool allow you to export the results?

Partly: The database of library books is stored in an XML file which can be downloaded to be reused in different research scenarios.

How is an input document or how is the data to be structured for the tool?

The database of books takes the shape of an XML document (library.xml), with a custom schema that is documented in the documentation. Information can be inputted manually in the XML editor that comes with eXist-db (eXide), or in oXygen, or, if the user is capable, the input data can be transformed from any other database format into the XML schema and saved into library.xml.
